Zigbee dropouts and slow responses, is it my router or my mesh?

My Zigbee setup has been mostly fine, then this week it started doing that thing where a sensor triggers but the light takes a beat or just does nothing. Last night I walked into the hallway and my motion automation fired in the logs, but the bulbs stayed off until I hit the switch like a caveman. It is not constant which makes it feel extra annoying.

If you have been through this, what fixed it for real. Did you move the coordinator, add a couple repeaters, or change WiFi channels and suddenly everything calmed down. Also if you have a simple way to tell if it is interference versus weak mesh, I would love that before I start buying random plugs.

This usually ends up being weak mesh, not the router. I’d add one or two known good Zigbee repeaters in the hallway area and see if the problem disappears. Battery sensors can’t repeat, so you need a few always powered devices to hold the mesh together.
