Smart hub randomly drops devices then they come back later

Is anyone else dealing with a smart hub setup that’s mostly fine… until it randomly isn’t? Mine will run smoothly for days, then out of nowhere a few devices go unavailable like they fell off the planet. Then later they magically come back without me doing anything, which is honestly the most frustrating part. Example from this week: one evening my motion sensor stopped triggering the hallway lights. I opened the app and it showed the sensor as unavailable, but everything else looked normal. About an hour later it was back online and the automation started working again like nothing happened. No router reboot, no changes, nothing. When you see this, what’s usually the culprit in real life? WiFi signal, hub placement, mesh network quirks, interference, or just having too many mixed brands talking to each other?

If you’re on mesh WiFi, I’d look there first. Devices hopping nodes or a hub bouncing between bands can look like random dropouts. I’ve had better stability when the hub is on a wired connection, or at least locked to a stable access point.
