Sonoff dry contact relay

I'm setting up a smart gate opener and saw a Sonoff dry contact relay that might work. I know wet contact means the switch controls the power, but I'm not sure what dry contact really does. Can it work with any gate motor, or only certain types? Thanks!

A dry contact just open and closes a circuit, so it doesn't provide any current. If the gate motor supports input form a dry contact then you'll probably be fine. If not, you'll either need to get a different relay or fiddle with additional circuity to make it work.

Dry contact works like a basic switch. it doesn't send power, it just tells the gate to open or close. It can work with lots of gate motors, especially ones that use a "push-to-open" signal. Check your motor's control board, if you see spots marked COM and NO or NC, that's a good sign it should work.
