Anyone else get lag spikes when their smart devices start working?

I work from home here in Georgia and my connection gets messy every time my smart devices start doing their thing. It is always during the busiest part of the day too. Video calls begin to freeze, pages load slower, and everything feels like it is fighting for the same small lane.

Nothing in the setup is new. Same router, same mesh system, same routine. But lately when the house wakes up and the automations fire, the whole connection gets shaky. I am trying to figure out if certain devices are eating too much bandwidth or if it is something simple like an overloaded router.

Anyone else experience this with a busy smart home? I want to know what you changed to keep your work connection steady while your smart devices do their thing.

sounds like there are devices that are consuming excessive bandwidth, or your router is overwhelmed. try to create a separate network for your smart devices, keeping them off your main work network.
you can use a guest network feature on your current router or set up a more advanced VLAN
