WiFi dips every time my smart decorations turn on

I have holiday guests arriving soon and my WiFi has decided to slow down every time the smart decorations kick in. The lights look great but the moment everything powers on, my connection gets a little sluggish. I am trying to figure out if it is interference, too many devices, or just December chaos.

How do you balance smart lighting and a stable network during the holidays. Do you separate devices on different bands. Do you schedule lighting so it does not overlap with heavier network use. I would really appreciate ideas before the house fills up and people start asking why the internet feels sticky.

A lot of members handle this by pushing lights and plugs onto 2.4 GHz only, or moving heavier stuff like TVs and laptops to 5 GHz. Others stagger schedules so everything doesn’t fire at the same minute. Have you tried separating bands yet or checking which devices are actually talking the most?
