What automation you thought you would never use?

There is always that automation you roll your eyes at during setup. It sounds unnecessary, feels like overkill, or just seems like something you can live without. Then one day it quietly becomes part of your routine.

Looking back on this year, what automation did you think was unnecessary until you actually lived with it? Curious what feature went from gimmick to something you would not want to remove now.
