What’s one automation rule or routine that’s made your day noticeably easier?
Smart light sensors for your porch? smart lights along the stairs? garage temp control? humidity control in the pantry?

For me it’s definitely my smart lights tied to my gaming setup. When I boot the PC, the lights dim automatically and shift to a cooler tone... its way easier on the eyes at night. I even tied it to my GPU temps once just for fun, but that got annoying fast. Still, that auto-dim routine is one of those “set it and forget it” things that I miss when it’s off.

The one routine that actually made life easier was automating the stair lights. Kids wake up at weird hours and never remember switches, so having them pop on dim at night has saved a lot of stubbed toes and tantrums. Everything else is cool, but that one’s the daily sanity-saver.

It’s not exactly home automation, but I programmed my Logitec Harmony remote to turn the room lights on when I shut off the system. It means that when you’re done watching a movie, you can walk out of the room and see where you’re going.
