I’m new to home automation and I’m honestly a little nervous because my smart bulbs feel reliable, until they randomly go unavailable and then come back like nothing happened. It makes me feel like I did something wrong or my setup is unstable. I’m trying to keep things simple, but now I’m stuck wondering if the first thing I should fix is my WiFi, the hub choice, or just where the devices are placed.
A specific moment that made me ask was this week when I finally got a basic evening routine working and it felt really satisfying, then one bulb went unavailable right when I tried to run it. A few minutes later it was back and it worked again, which is almost more confusing. For people who have dealt with this, what do you check first when devices drop like that, and what was the simplest change that actually fixed it for you?
