December power bills always feel a little higher in my place, so I finally started paying attention to what’s actually pulling power day to day. I picked up a couple of smart plugs just to get a rough idea, but the readings feel inconsistent depending on the app or device.
I’m mostly plugging in heaters, a few kitchen appliances, and some always on electronics. I like the idea of seeing real time usage instead of guessing at the end of the month. The problem is I’m not sure which monitoring plug is actually accurate enough to trust.
For anyone using smart plugs to track energy use in December, which ones have been reliable for real time monitoring and which ones felt more like estimates?
