Mirroring Tv visuals

Saw an idea of setup that I'm really interested in replicating, so basically I want to set it up such that the visuals on my main TV can be mirrored elsewhere in the house. Imagine catching part of a game in the living room, then wandering into the kitchen without missing a play or keeping a movie rolling on the patio TV without having to pause and restart..... you can imagine right ?
But I’m not sure if its something that can be pulled off smoothly with standard gear or if I'll have to be looking at a custom setup territory. If anyone has ideas about this kind of stuff, I'd appreciate
 
That's called a whole-house distribution and it's 100% doable!! The key to keeping the video perfectly synchronized across all TVs is using a centralized, wired system that distributes a single video signal, not multiple separate streams. The most reliable and plug-and-play method is connecting all your sources like the cable box and console to an HDMI matrix switch and then you run Cat6/7 cables with HDBaseT extenders out to each TV. This keeps the timing precise and switching fast. The second way is AV-over-IP which is more modern and scalable. It sends compressed video data over your standard Ethernet network. This offers flexibility for a large number of TVs, but it requires a very robust and expertly configured network, including high-quality managed switches to ensure there is zero latency or lag between displays. What sources do you want to share, and how many rooms are you planning to cover?

So I’m helping my brother set up a media room and he wants the same feed playing in the living room, kitchen, and garage. We’ve got a PS5, cable box, and a streaming stick. Would an HDMI matrix still work if some TVs are 4K and others are older 1080p? Also, does HDBaseT need its own power at each TV?
 
An HDMI matrix switch can handle mixed 4K and 1080p resolutions well so it's still a good option for your brother's setup, but just make sure the matrix you choose supports this feature!! Regarding HDBaseT, most modern extenders support PoC or PoH. This means the single Cat6/7 cable that runs to the TV also powers the receiver unit, so you only need to plug in the transmitter near the switch. This eliminates the need for a separate power outlet near each kitchen, living room, or garage TV for the extender.
