I'm trying to figure out how to have my RGB light strips power up as soon as I turn on my home automation system. It's a bit annoying having to grab a separate controller each time just to get the lights going. is there an easy way to link them up to the system so they turn on without any extra steps? I would suggest using the tp link kasa smart plug and adding it to your home automation platform, and just set an automation or routine to turn on when your system boots up.

Yeah, you can either grab a smart controller for your system or go with a smart plug if your strips can remember their last setting. I did that, and it's working really well.
