Ever had a routine misfire that taught you about device limits?

What’s one setup fail that taught you a lot about automation timing or device limits? Maybe a routine that kept firing at the wrong hour, lights that refused to sync, or a sensor that reminded you it has a mind of its own. Most of us pick up our best lessons from the things that didn’t go quite right. If you’ve got a story, what happened and what did it teach you about building better automations?

I once trusted a cheap contact sensor for a bedtime routine. Door barely moved and the whole house went into night mode at 7 pm. Learned real quick that not all sensors deserve that much authority.
