Trying to avoid smart home headaches during the holidays

With family planning to stay over this December I am starting to think it might be smart to reorganize my whole network before the house gets busy. A couple of my devices already slowed down this month, and with the Montana cold rolling in I know things might get even more sensitive. I do not want to spend the holidays resetting hubs or fixing routines while everyone waits for the lights to turn on. I am not aiming for perfection, I just want everything stable enough that nobody notices how many devices are running behind the scenes. Anyone else doing early prep so the holidays go smoother?

Holiday traffic on the Wi-Fi can absolutely expose weak spots you’d never notice the rest of the year. A little network cleanup now goes a long way, especially with Montana cold tightening up your device response times. Shifting your hub to a warmer spot and trimming anything that’s been half-working can keep things steady when company’s around.
