These fridge notifications are driving me crazy!

We got a 2023 Samsung smart fridge last month. It keeps sending alerts that the door is open even when it’s clearly shut. With kids running around all day, it’s getting pretty annoying. Is there a way to adjust or turn off the sensor? Thanks!

those sensors are way too sensitive. Mine did that for weeks till I adjusted the leveling legs like the door was just slightlyyy off alignment. Once it sealed flat, the false alerts stopped. You can also kill the door alarm entirely in settings if you’d rather not deal with it.

yep, been there! I just turned off the alarm. Just press the Door Alarm button on the control panel once to turn it off

A lot of those 2023 units use magnetic reed switches that freak out if the fridge isn’t level or if the seal warms up. You can tweak the sensitivity in the SmartThings app, but it’s buried in the settings. Did the alerts start right away, or did it only begin once the fridge settled into place?
