So I am thinking of starting a home automation business in Europe. I've got a background in tech and factory automation, but this is new to me! Any tips on where to start, good companies to partner with? and what to focus on for good customer support with things like Google Home? any input is appreciated!

I would suggest first getting certified in some major ecosystems like KNX which is really popular in Europe and Google nest pro installer. Also, first you should first test everything in your home. Try to first focus on services like smart lighting, security and climate control.

I'm not sure exactly how this works in Europe because where I'm at, it's kinda hard to "partner" and the process for starting a business like this is terribly looong. It can take months! Might be a lot of competitors already in the market by the time I finish signing up.
