I want to automate my windows (open/close), but the store bought options are weak. I'm looking for a solid DIY solution that plays nicely with Hubitat or HomeAssistant. Has anyone built a great setup using a linear actuator, an ESP chip, and 3D printed parts? anyone have the examples/designs?

I did a fully automated crank windows myself. inspired by a few youtube videos, one of them is DIY with Vinny. All STL files, wiring diagrams, and Home Assistant blueprints are available on the creator's website

DIY window actuators can be awesome, but the success usually comes down to the boring bits. Limit switches, manual override, and a safe way to stop if something binds. If anyone has a linear actuator plus ESP plus 3D printed bracket build that has held up over time, please share pics or a parts list.
