my wife has been asking me to fix my DIY cheap camera system and I'm finally diving into proper home automation!
the main goal is security. I need door/window sensors and a motion sensor on my son's door that will shoot me a text/alert at night (he's a little wanderer!).
I'm looking at the SmartThings multi sensors. I'm still choosing between SmartThings Hub vs. Hubitat? I love that Hubitat is all local (no reliance on the internet), but SmartThings is popular.
Which one is best for critical, fast, local security alerts? also, any recommendations for a good POE camera that plays nicely with either of those systems?
