Installing Halo 4" canless LED recessed lights with night lights

My room is too bland so I decided to install these lights. I'll install 8 in total and divided between 4 switches. I want to ask if it's possible to dim it the old-school way? I know we're talking about automation or something here but doesn't this still count? Hahaha. Anyway I just wanna ask if it's viable and if you have recommended manual sliders. I saw ones from Lutron but would wanna hear from those who tried already.

I have those or just something like them. I’m using the Lutron Caseta Diva dimmers and they work great!!! Still feels like the old school sliders but way smoother. Definitely worth it if you want that manual feel.

As long as the leds are dimmable, you can control them anyway you want. Slider, potentiometer, some fancy controller, whatever your heart desires

There are LED compatible dimmers, but not all are. I’ve run into dimmers that would not shut LED fixtures (or bulbs) off completely. They were very dim, but certainly not off.

Check the dimmer box to male sure.

Hahaha, totally viable! The trick isn't whether it's 'automated,' but whether the dimmer switch itself is specifically designed to be LED-compatible. Old dimmers meant for incandescent bulbs often cause LEDs to flicker, buzz, or not dim properly. Look for dimmers explicitly labelled 'LED+' or that state they work with LED bulbs
