I'm thinking about buying a smart vent for my bedroom. It always seems to get way too much airflow and I'm hoping it will balance out the air. But I keep seeing arguments against them. Some people say that closing a vent will create too much pressure on the system which could break it. But then they also say that closing a vent doesn't affect the airflow in other rooms. And if these systems are so perfectly balanced, why do so many people have rooms with weak airflow? Another thing that doesn't make sense is how some professionals recommend using dampers to redirect airflow. But isn't that just doing the same thing as a smart vent? It all feels a little confusing. Anyone here found what works best to balance the air in your house? Appreciate your help.
