Anyone trust AI to manage their home automations?

I keep getting tempted to turn on the AI routines in my home app, but I’m still not sure if they are ready. I’ve heard stories about people getting great results and others saying the system made their house feel unpredictable. I like the idea of routines that adjust themselves based on what I usually do, but I don’t want my lights or thermostat changing at the wrong time. So I figured I would ask the group. Is anyone actually using AI driven routines and are they behaving well or still kind of random? I live in California and I’m curious if they help with energy savings or just create more work trying to fix things when the AI guesses wrong.

AI routines can be helpful, but they still feel like a work in progress. I see more success when people pair them with clear rules instead of letting them run the entire house. The energy savings can be noticeable, but only if the AI understands your patterns. What part worries you more, the lighting or the climate control?

I trust AI for suggestions, not decisions. The moment it started lowering my thermostat at night because it assumed no one was awake, I bailed. It’s not terrible, but it’s not sharp enough to handle a real household schedule. Good for data, not so good for timing.
