Alarm com and Smart Home Integration

I just got a security system powered by Alarm com for my new house! It has cameras and a thermostat, but the smart home integration is weak.
It claims to work with Google Home and Alexa, but it's so annoying that I have to say "Hey Google, talk to Alarmcom"

I want to see my devices in the Google Home app, adjust the thermostat easily, and view the cameras on my TV!
Since Alarmcom is basically just a ZWave hub, is there any secret, official, or homebrew way (maybe using my home server) to get full integration, especially for the camera feeds?

I think, Alarm com's integration with Google Home right now is still limited to voice commands through the "talk to Alarm dot com" action and doesn't support direct device control

yep, the comment above is right, and if you still want to get the integration you want, use a home automation hub like Home Assistant
you can get some greater control and customization but need more technical effort

If your thermostat is a brand name model (like an ADCT3000 or a rebranded Skybell/Ecobee), check if it can be registered to the manufacturer's app simultaneously
usually you can link the thermostat directly to Google Home via the manufacturer's cloud, bypassing the Alarmdotcom voice action entirely

@theCoolhome for the cameras, try to skip the Google Home integration entirely and download the official Alarm.com for Android TV app on your TV
It can be optimized for the big screen and you'll get to view a grid of up to four cameras at once
