I'd go with a simple plug in motion sensor like the Westek, just plug your light in and it turns on when you walk in, off when you leave or if you'd like more flexibility, a smart plug paired with a motion sensor through an app works great too

Try a motion-activated outlet adapter, no app needed. If you're already got a smart home setup, a plug and sensor combo gives you way more control.

You can use an Aqara Motion Sensor. I had also added LED lights and a motion sensor to my daughter's closet last June. I found this tutorial on YouTube which was my guide in my DIY. I hope this helps!

oh this is a good idea. yeah, motion detecting bulbs would be great for this. They’re just under $20 on Amazon.
