First New Year’s Eve where I’m not touching any switches

This might be the first New Year’s Eve where I’m actually letting the house run itself. Lights are scheduled, music is queued, and I’m not planning to touch a single switch tonight.

Plan is pretty simple. Friends over early, countdown at home, then letting the “night mode” routine kick in after midnight. I spent enough time tweaking things earlier this year, so tonight feels like a good test of whether I finally trust my setup.

Anyone else letting their smart home take over tonight, or are you still manually babysitting things?

I want to say I’m not touching any switches, but let’s be real, someone always flips a switch like it’s a side quest. Home Automation is great until a guest walks into a room and does the classic “why is it dark in here” and starts pressing things. I’m letting the schedules run tonight though, and I’ll count it as a win if I don’t have to open any apps. What’s included in your night mode, just lights or locks and thermostat too?
