As we head into 2026, I realized the part of my home automation setup I’m most excited about is actually how boring it’s become in the best way. A year ago, I was constantly tweaking rules, fixing little edge cases, and checking logs way more than I probably needed to.
Now most days I don’t even think about it. Lights do what they’re supposed to do, routines fire on time, and nothing really asks for my attention. That shift from always tinkering to actually trusting the system feels like a pretty big milestone for me.
It’s funny how the excitement changed from building and tweaking to just letting things quietly work in the background.
What part of your smart home are you most looking forward to as we move into 2026?
